A resident of Pembroke Pines, Florida, Assaf Salim has founded and operated several businesses across the retail, aviation, and automotive industries since 1985. Today, Assaf Salim continues to manage some of the ventures that he has launched, including his most recent, Salim Group Investment, which was founded in 2020. In this position, Mr. Salim operates a business group dedicated to construction projects, housing development, and family-oriented community initiatives.
Mr. Salim has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business and international finance, respectively, both from Rafael Urdaneta University. He has also obtained specialized certifications in aviation security, airport management and operations, aviation finance and accounting, airport planning and design, logistics and operations, human resources management, and air regulations and operational procedures.
Mr. Salim has been recognized for his contributions to business. In 2004, he received the Mara de Oro Personality of the Year Award. In 2009, he received the Zulia Seal Businessman of the Year Award. In 2011, he received the National Tourism Award, and in 2012, he received the Prime Minister of Aruba’s Tourism Award.
Mr. Salim’s professional affiliations include memberships in Rotary and Rotaract. His personal interests include music, playing golf and tennis, skiing, and mountain biking.
